Help with painting signature

The name looks like E. Reinsons

I think it is Latvian (and the Gauja is a river in Latvia)

It's an impressionist work... 1868 would be too early

so almost certainly 1968

I would never say that I figured something out 100% in cases like this, but I think I got it! I believe the Artists name is Edward Reinsone, and the painting appears to be the Gauja River in Latvia. Here is a photo of the River:

I had to get a bit creative to find the artist, I found a Latvian page that I translated using google. **What I feel is the smoking gun for this is the artist typically painted "the Latvian countryside, forests, lakes, rivers and the Baltic Sea coast landscape."
