oops! you're right. but the pommel still looks more rounded on the kbar
 

that's a production model knock off, looks like a kbar, but you can buy ones like it at walmart

it was surface find. if you read the post, it says,"found at the base", base meaning where it meets the ground.
and no, i don't dig on indian mounds. I don't have anything to hide, so why would i delete the thread?

and BTW, there are certain parks in Florida that contain Indian Mounds and it is legal to metal detect. always check with the city and ask permission. i always have and that way you can enjoy the hobby responsibly.
