Help with German plaque

My friend bought this in Germany in 1952.
Any info on value, or a direction to go with research would be appreciated.
Don't know what type of metal it is, but it's heavy!!!!
I don't think it's pewter, It seems too hard.
Wrong color for bronze...
Like a dummy, I forgot to measure it when I took the pictures.
Now he's gone for the holidays.
The plaque itself is roughly 10" X 5". (The frame is crude and homemade,
doubt that it's original) It seems to be cast
Has a beautiful 3D effect. Only other marks are on the reverse 24/82
The plaque is bigger than what you see, it has a counter sunk edge around it.
Obviously meant to mounted into something, maybe a wall. marble, etc.
He told me what the words meant, but I forgot

"Hab dank fur deinen segen!" roughly translates to "Thanks for your blessing!". Herr is a term used for mister, lord, master, gentleman etc. As for the plaque itself I do not know the answer for that one.

Correction:

It's meant to be read "Herr hab dank fur deinen segen" which means "Lord thanks for your blessing"

The 24/82 could refer to the edition size of this piece. If that's the case, your piece would be the 24th of an edition total of 82 pieces.

The puzzling part is, 82 is a weird edition size increment. . . unless it's maker ran out of material . . . or funds.

As noted in 'ffuries' citation, the two phrases have these meanings:
"Herr, segne unsere deutsche Erde!" (Lord, bless our German earth!) and "Herr, hab' Dank für Deinen Segen!" (Lord, thank you for your blessing.)

If not made of some sort of pewter alloy, maybe a tungsten/copper alloy? Now that would be heavy.

Wonder what the actual date would be for this??
One site said early 1900's. Still would like to know what or who it was made for.
My friend is looking to sell this, but i don't want to cut him short.
Tried to sign in in the one site Mike posted to get an idea of price.
But it wouldn't come up with auction details, to old of an auction I think,
it ended in 2008. Someone just offer me $5000, and well call it solved

Well, the style writing is Fraktur--which means pre-WWII (unless it is a newer piece meant to look older).

Other than that, few details to help out with an ID. And yes, it appears to be religious.

Erntedank--literally means Harvest Thanks.

mäht Getreide und 2 Bauersfrauen beladen zweispänniges Pferdefuhrwerk, mit Schriftband "Herr, hab' Dank für Deinen Segen!", gerahmt, 33x17,5 cm


And my translation--

A Wallhanging "Harvest Thanks," from 1920, Copper that is silvered (silver plated)--depicting a representation of the grain harvest. A farmer cuts (mows?) the grain and two farmers' wives (farm women) load a cart drawn by two horses, with the inscription, "Lord, we thank you for your blessing." Framed, 33 x 17.5cm.



Measure yours and see if it's the same dimensions.


And I think it is a Beautiful work of art.
