Hi everyone and hope you all are well. And thank you in advance for thoughts on this. Calling all coin collectors. I was offered this to purchase, but don?t know much about coins. These are photos he sent. It?s a error quarter. Thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Scratched, Post-mint damage imo. Not an error.

Seller probably thought it was a broad-strike.

Looks like it's been polished after having been circulated. Not mint damage or an error strike. The reverse is smooth so it's not a strike error. Happened later.

I flattened a quarter to use as a dust cover that shattered on one of the universal coupler bearings of my mower deck. Folks use and play around with coins all the time.

The back picture is a little out of focus. Please post a better shot. It looks like a design on it but that may just be my old eyes playing tricks on me.
