I found this coin at a 1812 campsite but it’s completely worn and featureless. It’s roughly the size of a US quarter, maybe a little smaller. Definitely made of copper. Rang high 70s on my MXT. What colonial coins would have been that size?

That's a tough one. Try to take more clear pics of both sides, maybe with a magnifier app.
Thanks. It’s just a worn-out copper. I’ve tried magnifying and holding at angles with light on it in order to see any ridges/etc, but none. I’ve attached pics of it with a modern quarter to show size comparison. My question, is what colonial coins were that size?

None of the cons commonly known as colonials would have been that size, could have been larger and corroded down in size, or look into foreign coins that could have been circulating at that time.

We need better pictures. Please don’t take pictures in your hand or fingers. Lay the coin on a flat, medium dark, non reflective surface. Take pictures, both sides, straight on and at a slight angle, preferably in natural light. It looks like there’s enough detail to figure it out with better pictures.
