I don't think there is any chance of this coin being genuine. It definitely appears to be a cast coin, not die struck.

My dad has a similiar coin with the R stamped on it too. I'm thinking its just a Replica token. I was hoping it was the real deal.

You are correct, the R identifies it as a replica.

Not read all the comments but the replica's clearly have an extra dot after the O in the centre of the token.
