A friend inherited this coin. Anyone know if it’s of any value? Any help is appreciated. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1549861043.072158.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1549861057.252232.jpg

Nice ID RJC!! Cool token... 5 Dolls are worth more than 3 Merry Widows any given day!!!

Thanks! I saw that website, but it's like the only one I could find. I think the coin looks like it's made of brass or copper. Maybe a replica? I saw something about replica's too. Sure hope someone's seen these before.

The website says it is made from gold so even if faked, if it is gold it is still worth money.I would get it appraised but don't let it leave your sight.

There is at least one copy for sale on FleaBay for $12

The coin example on eBay clearly looks to be new, but yours does not. :icon_scratch:
Your token looks to be made of brass, as opposed to gold.

If you could post some clearer pics, it would definitely help us to assist you.

definitly looks like brass

and lets remember, rare means rare. Rare and expensive means you probably don't have the real mcoy. That said, we are all hoping it is, and we are waiting for better pics!

MrBluesky's coin and an apparent original for comparison ...

This will likely be my last post until we see more pics of MrBluesky's coin. Like CoinFetcher said, I too am hoping its the real mcoy - but have to admit that I'm having some doubts.

The following attachments were described as being from a circa 1940 coin price guide ...
