can anybody please tell me what this is. very light but seems like a button but dont seem copper. dug near water in Locust Hill Virginia. cannon ball found near by.

I think the image on it depicts a arm with a falcon on it, so possibly Falconry related.

Could of come of a rich man's clothes.
