Help to identify (a fossil tooth?)

This came out in the screener on my last fossil hunt. (Story on today's finds.) It is really smooth and has the texture to some of the other fossil teeth I have found in the last two hunts. It is very smooth and kind of a caramel color. It is about 1.5 inches long and crooked at the top. I believe it is a tooth of some sort but not sure what kind. I have not found any like it on the net. I am prepared for it to be other than a tooth since that is what I think it is.

Here's a W.A.G. for you. How about a portion of rib from a manatee/dugong? The dugong hung around Florida millions if years ago.

Hey Jim,

When my horses are not working they run loose on our place without shoes.
The way the hoof hits some rocky ground chjps the leading edge of the hoof off and helps to naturally trim and pare the hoof.

The chip you found looks a lot like what you found.

No horses within miles of this area although it could be the hoof of a prehistoric one. All of these items are coming from a limestone deposit area that has been worn away down into the bed of this creek. About 25 feet below the actual ground surrounding the area.
