Look liked hammered coins to me, so at least 17th C.
 

None of them have dates or portraits. Most have an 'E', then a large 'V', then either a '4' or triangle. They are all extremely thin. No wear on the face.

Any idea what they could be used for?

You just described a hammered coin. lol

Bramblefinds will ID them all, if you make clear shots of the Obverse & reverses. Is this picture both sides of the same coin?

You're correct. I didn't think that they were that old. It makes sense in that before the French arrived the Spanisher were in the same area. This is very exciting. I will go back for more. I found the same coins on

Trapper art correctly ID them as Maravedis Spanish coins. This is exciting.
