Hey guys! So I found this at a beach in very powdery sand. It was pretty deep, and rang up like a 76-82 signal on the garret AT pro. It looks like there is a cross on the front, like a shipwreck coin, but the back is completely wiped. It is also pretty heavy for its size. Anyone know for sure weather it's trash or treasure?

It appears to me to be melted aluminum from someone tossing a can into the fire. I do hope I am wrong though...d2

I agree with d2, it looks like melted aluminum. I found two similar pieces on yesterday's hunt.

I do see what you mean by the image of the cross on the photo with it next to the dime. You did say it was pretty heavy too, can slaw melted in a fire would still be pretty light. (At least the 100's I've found were pretty light.) Whatever it is it is toast but still looks like it might be something cool :)

If you don't have a test kit, take it to a jeweler and they can test it....
