Primary Interest:
Metal Detecting
Went metal detecting on some private property in SC. It was apparently a site where there was an old general store. During the Civil War soldiers would walk down the road on the property from Columbia SC and stop at the store. Lots of iron farming equipment...old axes and cast iron pans found. I have no idea what these are. The propeller looking object is iron. The middle object I thought might belong to a gun? and the third is iron with a hard to see pattern and slight curve.

The middle thing looks like a reed to a musical instrument .

Hey there from fellow South Carolinian. That third item. Is it to thick to be a well worn straight razor? Like a barber would have? The shape is kinda right.

The first item is a toggle off a chain, that could have been used in association with horse harness, or horse/oxen/mule logging. Here is a picture of a ring and toggle type chain like I used on the log pond, way back when I was gainfully employed. Of course that is way larger than your find, but I do recollect seeing a ring and toggle just like yours in association with harness, just don't remember where or when.

Cow ties and trace chains also use those toggles.
