Well I'll tell you this... Worth anything or not, I've never found one. And I've done a hell of a lot of detecting in the past decade and a half.


I think they're cool. And I also think they're a good find.

yes I know, I had someone PM me and ask me to donate them to their museum, I am thinking about that as well

They look like decorative gas valves that would've had a glass top for the flame. Think of it as an old lamp.

Just my 2 cents worth

They look like regulators for gas lamps to me too. There's a lot of history in those old valves and they would look really good in a display. Monty

Found this on ebay. Looks similar. Gas valve.

Frogwizard, yours would be for an old gas stove. One end threads into a gas line and the other end a rubber hose goes to the stove so you can place it anywhere in the room you wish. My grandad had such a set up in his house, but now it's outlawed by building codes. Too many leaks and accidents. Monty
