Or maybe a rock from bedrock polished by water in the time,depend where you found ;if you find in the river can be my thought i say before!

I find river and polished a bit with sandpaper

Try a couple of more pictures that show the inclusions on the stone. Of interest are the right side and bottom views. Polished nice though.

Are you sure about the hardness? The last pic looks silica-related.
The first one reminded me of marble, but the hardness is wrong for either. So double check, please?

l am use sandpaper and marble grind or polish so hard for me.Knife easy scratch this rocks.Sandpaper make white area yellow stone,polish again yellow (sorry for bad english)

If the knife scratches this stone, the hardness is below 5.

That puts it in the range of being a marble of some type. The grain on the backside and lack of clear cleavage puts it out of range for a calcite though marbles can have high content in that mineral. My thoughts.

I agree. My hunch tells me we're dealing with two separate kind of stones in this thread.

We are EU. The second stone is the one I'm referring to. No further info was provided for the first one and I cant hazard to guess its nature.
