ALP& CO.jpg I found this 8 sided dog tag yesterday in my front yard. There use to be an old house at this site back in the 1940's-50's. The tag is made of brass or copper and a tad bigger than a quarter. It has A.L.P & CO 70 on the front and the back side is smooth with no writing... :icon_scratch:

Thanks Tony.... I checked the A.L.P & CO and the only thing I found online is that that company used to make electrical componets such as panel boxes, breaker boxes , meters, etc .

There was another A.L.P. Co.; Atchison Leather Products Company which was founded in 1908. A.L.P. Co became Berger Company in 1973. Here is the history page on their website: Berger Company | Fine Leathers and Textiles since 1908

They made lots of stuff such as holsters, horse harnesses, military tool belts, etc., but I haven't found anything having to do with the use of such a token or tag. My best guess is that it may be a product tag of some sort. I searched for an old catalog thinking that the "70" is a product code, but haven't found one.
