What are /would be the best way to tell if a point wasn't authuntic? We haven't bought or traded fir but a f iver the yrs usually mire to help out freinds or family who having hard times or unexpected expenses but we do com e across sme for sale smetimes.finding em for ourselves and the rush we get from it

That is good news on you finding them. I have seen so many people buy and then later find out they arent really ancient but modern. Just making sure. They are very nice and would be the center of anybodys collection in a frame. I like the swirl on the bluish one. Very nice

What is uniface? Basi cally one that both side so well done the look perfectly matched?

Uni-face means only one side is worked. Not to say a lil' something wasn't done to the other.

I'm sure peoe do get taken by fakes. We have bought or traded for few but we never really have bought any from strangers or had a lot of $ or value in them to have hurt us too bad. And did mostly to help out ppl when they wher hurting for $ or need car fixd ect. Which is how we got the cream colred long blade. A near by farmer & deer hunting buddy who has since left move florida after his divorce. He had found a gd amont of flint in all yrs he had lived Round here. We used to turkey hunt and morel hunt together which usually included a feild flint hunt with him too. Now thinking of selling few of the ones we have found but mostly ones like the unamed blade. We r pretty attached to ones we fou d our selves cause of the memories & rush when find. But wanting to know what they are & value too b4 we decide to sell or not. That's why we bought t hybrid e overstreet guide. It helped w most but the blade idk. Soo many that could b and such vare ies I. Value. Farmed and hunted south of greysville Ind.not far frm wabash river..any suggestions o. Wher I could find ID & value? & I guess that authentic b4 I do try sell any.hoped when joined group smeo e would solve the mystery.

The overstreet guide is a little hard for me to use. Someone here turned me on to this site Projectile Point Identification Guide Happy Hunting! Hope you post more!
