Hi, I may be on the wrong site to ask this question.
But someone sent me an image and I have to get to the bottom of it.
Someone who is worrying me lately.
I'm just not quite sure what the item is, or what it is used for.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

looks like a tailless anthropoid primate foot from the great ape family, species Homo Sapiens. left foot maybe. I had many physical anthropology courses in college, but this is just a hypothesis.

Definitely need better pics. Also, if possible, provide any other info such as material, whether it is magnetic, is it heavy, does it have a threaded hole, etc.

Too bad you can't ask them to take it outside on a sunny day and do another image or two. Can't tell if it is a ball or a bowl from that dark image. The shadow indicates maybe a loop handle. Might be anything from a cosh to an ice-cream scoop; but without a better image and description . . .

I'm glad to see someone that is smart and funny on here R.R Hunter. Jade.. tell us more about it. Is it rusted or just black. That alone would help you get an answer. That and a better picture. It could be a big silver spoon.

You can see the detail much more clearly here, with the ridges you might see e.g., at the end of a screwdriver.

That said I can't be sure what it is, but I think it is two separate things, sitting on the floor a bit cockeyed to one side. To me, it looks like some sort of pry bar and a small wheel. If so, perhaps this person was merely demonstrating to you that they successfully removed a wheel from something. Who knows though, could all be one piece. Either way, the other suggestions so far have been super goofy.
