Well that was the fastest fall I have ever seen here in this part of GA. Tuesday I was out getting a sunburn and today I woke up to winter. Going to be 30 in the morning they say. How is everyone elses weather going? Shoot they aren't even done pulling all of the fields yet. There was snow 50 miles NE of me glad we missed it this time, rock

Wow! Your correct Quito! We whine and whimper (me included, Rock) about 30 degree weather. You guys up there are tough! That amount of snow would be catastrophic around here.

That is just the snow in town. You should see how it drifts in out here in the country.

This is what I have for keeping my driveways open.

We got lucky here in the western piedmont and didn't get the snow but we are getting wind and it's cold. I put on boot socks and gloves and poked around upstream this afternoon but only found glass and no artifacts. Good thing is the snakes are not around! Not so good thing is the cold hurts my arthritic toe lol Last Sunday I had a strange experience...usually I braid my hair into a ponytail so it won't get in my way but this day I pulled it back with a black clip...I had been raking the creek a little and was waiting for the water to clear, just standing there and then I heard feathers flapping right behind my head...scared me but I turned around in time to see a hawk flying away thru the trees! I think it came in for a closer look at my clip and so glad it didn't grab it or I would prolly have a bald spot there lolol it was funny too because before that it was all noisy with the birds and other critters and after that it was dead silent hahaha ...needless to say it took me quite a while to feel comfortable again. Crazy hawk birds but I love them!

Quito,

That is too much cold and snow for me. I'll keep my butt down here in the deep south where it is a toasty 44 degrees this morning!

the rif-raf

Not to insinuate anything, but that cold and snow, does help keep a fair amount of the riff-raff away.

We had our first cold front this weekend here. It s down to 65*

This is a photo on the beach.....

Basicly this thread was posted for everyone to have a little fun. It looks like its working, carry on :)

You definitely don't have to worry about this riff raff living up there.. I did Vermont for 5 years that was enough.

"Hello Winter "

O Hell, Winter!

;D

spotted this fellow out the kitchen window this morning...shepherding a doe. Rain all day and in the 50's, great weather to chain saw up some of the trees that blew down last weekend. Where I live fall is wind and rain, winter is rain and wind, spring is just rain...and summer is 2 weeks in August.

Hey Rock it got a little colder here in Western KY. It was 26 degrees here Saturday morning. Great deer hunting weather. I was in the stand bow hunting. Needless to say after about 3 hours I couldn't feel my toes and I even had toe warmers in my socks!!! The wind was gusting up to 35 mph. I didn't get a deer...just cold!!

i mean this guy...
