Saying hello from Wisconsin here. I am getting back into the hobby of treasure seeking after too many years away.

I started out with a Tesoro metal detector about 30 years ago. I'd use it in parks as my two boys would enjoy the play equipment. I didn't find anything of huge value but a few silver finds along the way. My best find was a stack of four silver quarters along the banks of a local lake. Hope the fisherman who lost them took some fish home to compensate his loss.

I now have a Whites IDX Pro I bought brand new off eBay half a dozen years ago but never used much. I now have a very willing search partner who is very enthusiastic about looking for whatever we can find. She is a great lady and absolutely the finest treasure I will ever find.

Can see already see this site is a great resource and great reading.

Thanks. Yeah it's good to be seeking again. Can't find anything if you're not looking. Metal detecting is fun but not the only thing we plan on doing. We have already put super magnets on poles and went searching for meteorites in a planted cornfield! Only found some small pieces of Hematite in the glacial till. Lot of fun though. We want to find whatever we can wherever we can whenever we can.
