Hey everyone!
I've been a metal detector hobbyist for decades but the reason I joined Treasurenet is because of rocks / artifacts! LOL Here's my story: I have a seasonal creek with TONS of rocks that runs through a portion of my property. I took a venture down there about a month ago and discovered that there are A LOT of agate/chert/flint/jasper and quartz rocks. This is how my obsession began.. it went from finding cool and interesting chert pieces to finding cool and interesting artifacts or what I interpret to be artifacts! Monsterrack has a couple of topics in the NA discussion/forum which was very helpful. I've read and looked at everything that I can find on Native American tools and artifacts so I hope that I'm not completely clueless. I'm sure many of you will say that they're JFR (as one member has labeled it - JUST FLIPPING ROCKS) but in any case, I'll have picked up an interesting conversation piece!
