I believe edward teach's ship (AKA blackbeard) went down in or near beaufort inlet. What a great place to hunt! I would start researching old tidal charts to figure out good (and legal) places to search. good luck!

Welcome Jeannie. See your down there in swamp country. Beaufort MCAS and Parris Island Last time I was in Beaufort was in the early 70's. All I remember was hot and humid and swamps
