Hi All,
Been lurking here for years. Have had a White's MXT for along time, Maybe used it 10 hours in 10 years. Just got bit by the bug 2 months ago. Have had a lot of fun detecting 2-3 times a week since September. Got Lucky and found a gold ring in my first couple days with the MXT. Went out and bought a Nox 600 for me and a Safari for the wife. It's a lot better than sitting around the house. Got to say I prefer the beach, While the wife likes the parks better.
My Wife is working in Napa, While I work in Campbell. So we have two bases in the Bay Area to hunt out of. Parks in the south bay are funny on there requirements, so do not mess with them too much. Napa and Sonoma Counties are more open for detecting. Love the beaches in Santa Cruz.
Can't wait for some storms to hit the coast this winter, I think I know how to look for the low spots on the beach now and only go on low tides.
If anyone is up for a weekday hunt hit me up. Normally off detecting Wednesday-Saturday.
