My name is Troy and I am new to TreasureNet. I have metal detected with my Dad when I was young but now I am looking to really start seriously treasure hunting and metal detecting. I am really excited to find this forum and I look forward to really learning alot here!

With that said, I am looking to get my first metal detector, but wanted to see what would be best for my area of southwest Florida. I am interested in finding coins, jewelry, and also doing some beach hunting since I am just minutes away from dozens of beaches. I have done some research and was looking at the White's coinmaster pro, the Garrett Ace 350 or the Fisher F4. Are these good choices? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks again! Happy to be here!

Hey troy welcome. I'm new to just signed up. The garretts are great, I got myself a 250 ace. For the price its a good starter detector.
Although I havent found much, I'm blaming that on the area we live in.

welcome to TNet. ACE250 is a great machine and works really well in dry sand. good luck!
