Hello... and navigation skills of a drunken pirate!

I've been on this forum for a few weeks and not even seen this introduction section until now. I'm Mark and still very new to treasure hunting but the idea of it has been a passion since I can remember. I read about the Egyptian discoveries and fiction of Wilbur Smith and always been a hoarder of memories.

I started Geocaching initially for fun days out and got a cheap metal detector a few years ago (which I broke) and have bought a new one recently. So I'm kind of a 'romantic hunter'. I am based in England - not sure if there are any other members here. I've been on adventure hunts with friends but it's not been anything serious - but I am interested in unsolved treasure mysteries.

I also like online hunting - I was in a team that won sash of signed celeb stuff a few years ago, which was a lot of fun, though they are not so common now.

Enough waffle, my kettle calls!
