Hefty Update

I got a message from our good friend Hefty last week. About 3-4 weeks ago he had hip replacement surgery, and as of last week he is steadily improving. He's upgraded from a walker to a cane in three short weeks. Send him some love and support. He still pops on here occasionally.

Well Hefty....we sure ain't what we used to be. Having our bodies wear out (old age) takes some getting used to. Hopefully you will have some "get er done" time between the next episode of repair. You take what you are given and give it your best shot. Glad to hear you are on the mend. Take care!

Hi Hefty,
Sigh, yes the bodies do wear out but then we've used them quite hard, between carrying in heavy pack loads and dumping motorcycles down a cliff
it all adds up. My last trip in did not go well, between a bear in a bush and a trail that has become so very difficult that I was really aching when I got
to the river I've decided to put trips off till I have a surgery or two. Next adventure a job in Florida. Heal well? Herb
