Heavy, magnet won't stick, ball

A friend found this in NM years ago.
By size it may be 1750 musket ball.
Any ideas?

im by no far an expert, but what knowledge i have is - musketballs didnt have an exterior ring at the joining point of the 2 halfs
in other words, a crude external seam
maybe a mill ball?

Nice find, looks like a round ball, a musket ball to me. Why wouldn't you think so? Field made of course, so that's why this pistol ball isn't perfect. Something I'm missing? Lead isn't magnetic anyway.

I agree, lead musketball.
Very difficult to precisely date though, could date anytime from 1750 - 1880.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge then myself will chime in.
