heavy find tonite, hope it's just a strain

hello all,

sorry I have not posted in a bit. Most of my hauls have been steel/tin around the 800-1,000 pond range.

Boy I found some heavy stuff tonite, and it hurts. I found a thick cast iron bath tub and 2 cast iron sinks. Getting it in the truck was tough, but getting it over the patio blocks I did not take out to close the gate is was what did me in, I think. I hope it is just a groin stain and not a hernia. My body is mad at me right now. I can't wait to see how heavy this thing is. let you know soon.

cast iron tub 280 pounds ... $19.00
480 lbs of tin... $31.00

not taking the patio blocks out of the truck before putting the tub in ... stupid

still sore as hell, and it appears to be a groin strain.

Those cast iron tubs can be refinished. Was it a claw foot? I'm pretty sure there's a market out there for cast iron tubs and historic buildnig materials. Seems like with a bit of research you might be able find one of those specialty recyclers and do better than the scrap rate, but I'm just guessing.
