Heavy Cross with a loop at the top?

My MD buddy found this at a local school. It has a goldish color on the outside. It has no markings but is pretty heavy. It doesn't appear to be gold, silver or lead, but not rusted either. It appears to have the image of Jesus at the top.

The style of cross is called an ankh (various spellings) which, as Wikipedia puts it is the Egyptian hieroglyphic character that read "life". I agree it looks like Jesus portrayed on it, but I'm surprised that its not the Star of David in that context.

african form of jesus (jesus was rejected by the jews --the african christains are chritain not jewish -- thus no star of david )------ remember jesus was of middle eastern decent thus --the blue eyed blond look most likely is not historically on the money (but using a image that looked like most europeans made it easier for european folks to accept christ)-- for many african christians christ is shown as a black man / arabic type person -- (the five sided star the star theat showed hisbirth place) that type of cross is historically linked to --- egypt / the africa area near it . --- Ivan
