Is that guy playing lead guitar Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory, or have I had one too many gummies? 👀
It does look like him! I had to look him up. It was cool that Jason Bonam played drums for this performance.

Shane Fontayne played the lead guitar solo in Heart's cover of "Stairway to Heaven" at the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors. Fontayne, whose real name is Michael Barakan, is a British-born guitarist who has played with many artists.
Fontayne's performance was considered one of the most challenging gigs of his career. Fontayne has also played with other artists, including: Bruce Springsteen, Ian Hunter, Sting, Joe Cocker, and Graham Nash.

I had to take a second and third look myself, lol. He’s his doppelgänger for sure.

And I agree, having Jason stand in on this performance definitely capped it off. His dad, John, was the greatest drummer of all time in my book. I learned to play listening to When the Levee Breaks. Damn that’s been too many years. It was cool to see the obvious joy on their faces when he first walked out on stage.

Thanks for the background on the guitarist, first time I’ve heard of him. Damn wizard on those strings! The resemblance is stuck in my head now though. 🤣

Had this song titled cassette in my 20 dollar Maverick.

Had a friend years ago who put a Boss 429 in his Maverick, that baby would haul some butt. We called it the Mighty Maverick, lol. Had it so jacked I had to brace my feet in the floorboard to keep from sliding under the dash. 🤣
