I hike a lot so I usually take stuff along those lines with me. I take a bag of trail mix, and a trail bar or 2. Always seem to keep me feeling ok, but not overbearing and loading me down. This is important.

Oh, and lots of water of course, it's the desert

Before the wife put me on a diet. Twinkies, Doritos, beefjerky and diet Pepsi. NOW, Peanut butter sandwich on whole wheat, baby carrots, an apple or banana and water, I still sneak my diet Pepsi. Eating healthy is soooo much fun.

I always get a chuckle when I read about a pound of garbage...topped with a diet soft drink! 480 calories from the food , but uh-uh, not gonna' drink any of that fattening soda! Monty
