headphones

I have been wireless for about 5 years or so. The original units I bought came from Radio Shack. They were behind the ear type, so using them with a hat was easy. They were a bit tough on my ears until I got used to them. Alas, one set quit, and the other got intermittent. I then purchased a Stereo Dongle from Overstock.com for about $30, and a headset for $25. The headset was designed to go over the head, but seems to work well behind the head too. They're Bluetooth obviously, and they can be a pain locking on, but one paired, they work for about 15 hours straight until you need to recharge them. I do know I can buy ear-bud type Bluetooth ones too, so perhaps I'll try those as well.

Yikes!! The trucking company I worked for had a yard in Laredo Tx and I got there in the middle of the night. Got up at dawn, stepped down out of the truck and was checking the tires. Under the trailer in the gravel 4 feet away I heard the rattle. A huge fat rattler was laying there warning me to bugger off, which I did.

I love snakes and own a couple of corns, but no way am I messing with one of those.

I have a grave yard of head phones all taped up and rebuilt. It seems I am pretty rough on them in the brush. Many times they are pulled off my head and in a tree as I slide down a bank. I know I need a good set but the way I tear them up and get them tangled in everything I hesitate to buy a set. Plus the bug juice seems to eat them up as well in the summer.
Maybe I need to go wire less. Have been hunting water so not using any. No one around so I do not care about the noise. Head phones have always been a sore spot for me.
Spend hundreds and hundreds on machines and 30 bucks on a set of head phones I will tear up in no time. Go figure
