Headphones make a lot of difference in that they allow you to hear the faint sounds that may be drowned out by background noise. For the summer you might try what they call secretarial headphones which are lightweight and don't cause your ears to sweat(if that bothers you). h.phones also allow you to ignore distractions that might come your way but I always leave one side partially adjar so that someone sneaking up doesn't suprise me. Look for one's that are coiled cord(no branch snagging). Expect to pay $49.00+ for dual vol.

I find them helpful, once this weird guy was trying to ask me for a date, I just pretended I didn't hear him.

A good set of headphones will help you find the deeper targets & also extend Battery Life. plus you are? less of a distraction to the Public, as they don't hear the Beeping sound and get Curious, or irritated. By The Way, if you didn't check yet ; YOU HAVE MAIL, with My Phone #

By using headphones you extend the battery life of your detector greatly. Also I recommend the Detector Pro Jolly Rogers because they have the volume control and a switch to help match them up to different brands of detectors. They are very comfortable and get rid of background noise so you will be able to hear those tiny sgnals. Good hunting mi amigo! God Bless. John's Radio Shop & Metal Detectors. [email protected] :D
