Chris and I are headed south. Going to poke around the Johnnie, NV area. If anybody's in the area, stop and say "hi". We'll be in my white Dodge 4x4 with an aluminum flatbed, towing a little, white, Casita camp trailer. We plan on staying at the campground by the "Gold Searchers of Southern Nevada" gold claim north of Johnnie. I'll be testing the dry sluices, and the Arc Geo-Logger in conjunction with both the Discovery 1200 two-box, and the two-coil setup I built for my Whites 6000 XL Pro. We plan on lunch at Gemma's Cafe in Beatty, NV in the early afternoon on Thursday the 23rd.

Well, guys, looks like our trip is off for awhile. Getting down there is easy, but there's snow coming, and getting home might require driving miles of ugly roads, and I just don't do it anymore, unless I do a bad job of looking ahead at the weather. The humorous outdoor writer from Idaho, Patrick F. McManus said "adventure is just another word for misery" which was absolutely right. And, I've had enough adventures to fill a book, so don't go looking for it, anymore...LOL

Was it because I wished I was going with you? I can unpack my bag.:laughing7:

How about the adventure of the finds with the metal detector instead of the adventure of the ice on the roads??
