Found this at the park today on the surface. Old stuff nearby as my honey dug an IHP and a buff. The enamel looks newish. The back has a medallion for the 40th Open at St. Andrews which was in 1900 in Scotland. The back dates look like 1880 to 1900. And it has a TM for trademark. Is this old or new? Could not find an exact match googling. Thank you for any info!

I don,t know any thing about it other than Arkansas has had some pretty good golf teams over the years. You might try researching that to see if any info jumps out at you.Being a diehard Razorback kind of guy that,s real cool to me.I,d like to know how it got to Illinois.

Definately modern. After 2000 most likely. Technically it's a ball mark repair tool but a lot of people call it a divot tool. A divot is made when you take a swing and remove a chunk of earth. The hole is a divot. A ball mark repair tool is used to fix the indent of the ball on the green. The ball mark repair tool should be used to push neighboring grass and roots into the hallmark. A lot of people don't correctly fix them and end up prying soil and soon to be dead roots to the grass height. Makes for a puttable surface but grass will take forever to regrow.

I am sure that this is a commemorative pitch mark repair tool. They did not have these tools until the last 30 years or so. St. Andrews has many stores selling nostalgia items etc.,
