This thing is made of brass and I have no idea what it was used for. Any Ideas? new finds 002.jpgnew finds 007.jpg

Any markings, holes on parts or similar features? Where did you find this at? Give as a little context...

This was found in the yard of a house that was built in 1810. There are no markings on this anywhere other then the file marks.

Well sounds like a few folks were just taking a shot in the dark, but sure sounds like you might be better served to move to another site so you won't be burdened with mere mortals.

Looks like someones Home or School Project to me. :dontknow:

Although I don't know the actual name that would fit it,

a table top work station anvil type device,
for working with small items may be another guess.


Like everyone else's "Ideas" though completely a guess at this point.
I see you were banned But I hope you can still look in.
It's just a shame you didn't have more Patience, as we have some amazing people here
who, with the ability to ask questions & read members Guesses, Probably could
have nailed it down for You :(
but unleess I've been Slacking & missed some comments,
I don't see reason to accuse people of making fun of you,
