I was back out again at one of my homesteads and found this broken reed. It is reminiscent of a harmonica reed, but is much thicker, about an inch thick to be exact, and each reed is spaced into sets of two. The other interesting feature is the shape of this reed. Instead of being rectangular in shape, it is more trapezoidal. The metal also appears to be something other than brass. Is this a type of harmonica I am unfamiliar with or does it belong to another instrument? Thanks in advance for any information!
