Dug at an 1890;s home site. It came out of the ground in several pieces that I've tried to reassemble at least enough to see what it looked like. It appears to be pot metal, not magnetic, brittle and somewhat fragile. The center portion is bit smaller than a baseball. It has two "arms" sticking off the sides that look like they were made to sit in a yoke or something to allow it to move or spin. The center part is threaded on the outside on one side, and has a hole through the other side. Here are a few views. I didn't take a view from beneath because it's still too fragile to turn over, The underside is hollow and shaped just like you'd expect from looking at the top side. Note that I have a piece of random metal under one of the arms to hold it up -- it's not attached. Both arms are the same and terminate In that little ball at the end
