Hampton Military Academy Button donated to local museum

They should be very grateful to have it, that was an admirable deed.

I hope your transition goes well. Good luck and I hope to see your posts from some other interesting part of the country or world

Thanks Evan, I sent you that link knowing how much you appreciate the history in this area and also since you're also one of the very few proud owners of these buttons.. You weren't joking about the museum's buttons. They were horrible

Nice Jeff that was cool.
We actually gave one to Hampton University we found there years ago, it never was displayed they said it had nothing to do with their history when we asked why it wasn't displayed. Glad this one made it out for the public to see. Reid

Great rare piece of history and thanks to your unselfish character, I might just make a small detour on the next trip south to OBX or Va Beach to take a first hand look at that button and the other relics on display there....

Thanks again :notworthy:

good deal! Let me know if you do stop by, they have some really great stuff and they're also getting ready to open a new room (if they haven't already) with more awesome local history. :headbang:

Great find! And even better that you were kind enough to donate it! :icon_thumleft:
