Latest finds two more hammered silver coins. Both cut ones, of Henry III , long cross coinage 1247-72. Another silver coin, a queen Victoria sixpence dated 1893. Plus part of a small silver ring, possibly of some age.

Robert.

Had some very nice hammered coins Colin, a few worth several hundreds. Not really though had the better artifacts, had interesting ones, but not valuable ones. Thing is though, only takes one signal.

For me, here in Texas, it seems strange to see the kinds of things you guys dig there across the pond.. I can only imagine. Keep on keeping on friend!

Wow! A Vicky sixpence! That must have gave you a great thrill since you are getting so bored with those crappy hammereds!

Another nice grouping of silvers, strangely the Vickie looks out of place.

The thing is David, over 30 years I've found more hammered silver coins, than milled silver (a lot More).
