This has been my best Rally Day ever, I don't do many but when I do, I normally get next to nothing
Firstly thanks to Shaun7 who helped find this option whilst Dad is away. We both worked hard at this one, as many left by about 13.30, only a few die hards stuck it to the end & I'm glad I did. With only 30 minutes until the end of the Rally, I got one of those 'scratchy' deep sounds that didn't sound like Iron, after I dug it I was shocked to see an circa 10th Century Anglo-Saxon Stirrup Mount with interlaced Beast pattern. One of my favourite & most difficult items to find, like most things found on this land it seemed to be a random loss. Which makes sense as the Apex Loop has broken, which is a common design fault on these (form over function). If they were found they were often repaired.
Top of Roman Brooch
Large piece of a Medieval Purse Bar
Kings Head Medieval Leather Mount
Medieval 4 way Junction
Jetton
Medieval Spectacle Buckle
Tudor Button
Silver Cufflink with Galley on front. (found in the last hour) - No date letter, but its the head of one of the Georges
Wild Boar Tooth (must be old)
