I took the day off for some quiet time and decided to detect a few properties that I have received permission on. One was a friends yard and the other is an apartment building. The friends yard had some awesome black dirt which made for easy digging and great target response. I was thrilled to see the first barber come up and then a few Indians surfaced before the last barber and VFW token were found.
I found plenty of clad coins, but the oldest coins were about 6in- 8in deep. I then decided to go to the apartment complex and pulled a wheaty right off the bat. It was there that I found the John Brown souvenir at 9in deep. There was also a $2 quarter spill on that property. There's still some area left to cover at the last site so hopefully I can get back there before to long. Johnny
