Had a good week

Here's a couple of axes that I was able to acquire this week. The top is from central Iowa, the middle one was found by Warren Holland in Henry County, Iowa pictured in Who's who #3, and the bottom was found south of Nauvoo Illinois in Hancock County. I always like to get axes with great provenience and the bottom two fit the bill. I purchased the bottom piece from the finder's estate sale. The Holland axe is the second that I've got that Warren found. I know of 3 more nice ones that he found that I would like to get too.

Jeff,

Those are very nice pieces. I like the differences between the two half groove axes (one looks more axe like, the other looks more celt like.)
