Gun Control Canada soon here???

Like a former poster said earlier, "Crazy people + guns = problem." Lots of problems.

Former :icon_scratch: That was me, and some took it as a joke :laughing7:

And here's another one you can bank on. I would agree that that perhaps they should limit the amount of bullets in a magazine. For those that need more than 10 rounds, you're probably a lousy shot to begin with. :laughing7: If you're afraid that you'll be protecting yourself from the army, I have another news flash for you. They wouldn't be marching down Main Street either. They'll come rolling through with a tank and I doubt your magic bullets will have any affect on them :laughing7:

This is exactly whey we should legalize privately owned tanks. We must stay on a level playing field with the government.

Spart,

That pretty much sums it up.....to give a scenario from north of the border....we had a native blockade about 20 years ago...as a railway marketeer....I quoted to the Canadian Army to bring in tanks, armoured vehicles, etc.....to bring the situation under control....

Even automatic rifles wouldn't do much with a scenario like that....these are professional soldiers not someone shooting a few rounds at the firing range.

stockpicker,

LOL......good to see you didn't forget me in the discussion.....let's face it with the longest undefended border in the world shared by our 2 countries....we're pretty much joined at the hip so to speak...whatever happens in one country pretty
much affects the other to some degree or other.

Regards + HH

Bill

Definitely not my Canadian history that's for sure. Was just poking a little fun at another poster from Canada who is always butting in on our second amendment discussions. Best

Crispin, the problem is too many grew up on the Spaghetti Westerns and some think they're Clint Eastwood :tongue3:

Completely agree. Way too many Clint Eastwood or red dawn fantasies going on out there. I believe that it makes the folks who find themselves overwhelmed in a fast moving complex world empowered. Makes the small feel big, the inconsequential feel important.

Well, that's a vulnerability that the unscrupulous will take advantage of. And are, actually. Look around.

If it feels too good, it's probably heroin.

Check with Afghanistan, they had no problem taking on Russian tanks.....What some people keep forgetting is if it ever comes to tanks rolling in the streets firing on American citizens, there will be american military units fight american military units. It is called a civil war and you can bet your last dollar there will be battles with in the military if that ever happens....
