Please keep us informed!

my appointment is next wed... god I cant wait

I just hope the owner leaves you alone and doesn't follow you around to see what you're finding.

Hey let me know if you want some help...I have Thurs. free next week!

the owner wont be there....<evil grin>

That is super news. Congrats. I hope you find a lot of relics and silver. Please take pics of your day.

Best of Luck!!!!! Remember to take a small coil too for any trashy area. Look under the limbs on all the trees for a nail where a plum bob could have hung to mark a cache. Have fun and remember people back then might not have carried much money in pockets unless they were going to town, so don't get discouraged.

Rae,

That is really good to hear.
I know you have been plodding along with nothing but hopes for awhile now.

Give this site a very slow going over,
dig all the hits and have a nice big garbage container handy.
Don't give up, expect the garbage and keep the faith.
If you give it your all you won't be disappointed.
Finds come as few as one in a couple trips, We don't see very many bust trips here.
folks show the things they are proud of.
Most trips are slow and hard going.

Congrats on your site.
Take your time and find the treasure girl.

Good luck in your hunt.
OD

Well alright Rae. That is good news for sure. Best of luck and we'll all be waiting for the pictures.
HH, Mike

well how did you get the ok -- thru the "historical" group connection or asking or what -- what "worked" for you? -- take your time when digging-- you don't want to ding or nick any good old silver coins you might find -- its hard not to get too "pumped" up in your digging --its a common weakness lots of us have -- and no chemical cleaning of the coins -- messes them up value wize

remember to cover your holes nicely and "thank" the folks in some way -- the local word tends to get around "quickly" so make sure that what their saying about you is "good" -- your local "rep" is very important to getting other future sites --one site can lead to another and often does-- good luck --- Ivan

I know the girl who lives there...shes said shes been dying to metal detect ( told her I have a spare she can use) she said whatever I find is mine...we agreed if we find a cache or slave token that we will spiit it.... hows that for fair... not bad I think...either way, its a good experience for me..and I will take pictures of the hanging tree..( thats gotta be gross thou) and not to be sick but they had to stand round to watch the hangings..so they may of dropped things as well.. theres a huge farming tool in the front yard as decoration..ready for this one..its something that the slaves used to pull across the fields to farm it...boy I bet thats worth a dang fortune..will also take a pix of that as well...its not owned by the historical society...its privately owned...
