GS Find: Vintage negatives

Great score - monetarily the equivalent of a silver dollar cache.

I know this is an old post, but I want to add this:
In the Rupert W. VA storefront photo is the Trade Winds sign as was mentioned. It also mentions the dates . . . Wednesday & Thursday, September 13 and 14.

In 1938, Sept 13 was a Tuesday. In '39 it was a Wednesday. The storefront photo was 1939.

Figuring that out is impressive. How on earth did you figure this out?
Thank you! I'm not precisely sure what I Googled the first time, but if you Google "Wednesday September 13" without the quotes you'll get a WWII journal as the 2nd hit. Or you can google "Calendar 1938" and you'll get an easy to maneuver calendar as the first hit.

Very cool...and again, I'm impressed. I would have never even looked to see what the window sign said, let alone thought to research the dates.

Do you work for the FBI?

Great score if you ever come across some junk ones they make a he ll of a smoke bo mb
