Greetings all. my name is Tom Wicker and a pretty lucky man in deed. I'm recovering from a Brain stem stroke on March the 8th of 2013. It took most of the use of my left side and speech. Today I have about all of it back even after being told I wouldn't. I love proving people wrong. I build custom fishing rods and love to scuba but that is a ways off yet. As I walked into my rod room today just looking around I spotted my old but reliable White I took it down kicked off the dust installed new Bat. and it's good as new. I'm looking forward to hear that old box speak once again. Are there any hunters here in South Baldwin Alabama? Would love to hook up and hunt once in awhile.

Welcome back, Tom! Glad to see you back up & about, take care!

You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Alabama for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome, and congrats on your recovery!

Welcome aboard Tom, from a fellow Rod Builder. I'm starting 3 LSU 7' spinning rods today. Great hobby especially when its raining and I can't go md'ing.

Roy the LSU rods were always a great seller. Many of my Rods over that way are Split grip popping rods wrapped with Rattle Snake between rear grips and about 10'' in front of forgrip

Wishing all the best for your continued recovery and Welcome to TNet! :hello:
