Thats a great find. I have yet to find colonial silver. I've got a few coppers but the silver eludes me. Congratulations on an excellent score ;D

Great Stuff. My grandmother has a locket like that my grandfather gave her in the 1940s just after WWII. She put a picture of him on one side and her on the other way back then. He died young. She still wears the locket.

Does the 2 on the back mean 2 reale? I thought it would say 8 if it is an 8 reale?
still a nice day!

Good find but yes, it's a 2 Reale.

well congrats on those two finds! The dollar is a find of a lifetime! WTG! ;)

Wow!!! YOu skipped over the barbers and Indians and went right to the Reales!!!! Great job!

Great find on the 2 reale! If it were an 8 you would know it...very large and very heavy! A 2 reale is nothing to sneeze at though...nice way to break into the old silver!

great find ! man that is cool, congrats ;)

Never have found any Spanish silver . Those are two amazing finds for sure!

thanks guys on the two reale. i searched a website just to see what the heck i found, and it said pillar dollar 8 reale, so thats what I thought i found....

i still couldn't be happier!!!

Sweet 8 Reale!! VERY nice find and congrats on your first gold too!!

Congrats on the 2 Reale, they are not too common of a find, most Spanish Silver found are the tiny half real. You can modify your title and/or any text in your post by clicking on Modify.................
