It's definitely a larger shark. Not sure how old though. I have an ancient sharks tooth here, it's very discoloredFossilized shark tooth I think it's from a great white
Very coolFossilized shark tooth I think it's from a great white
And this is from an angustiden. Also one of the megatoothed sharks. Bigger than the great white and older than megalodonIt's definitely a larger shark. Not sure how old though. I have an ancient sharks tooth here, it's very discolored
Would it be considered rareWhoa! Yes, that is a lower great white tooth. But what’s really cool about it as that it was on a Native American necklace! Hence the drill hole. Banner worthy! 🙌
Yes it would definitely be considered rare. There are quite a few examples of these, and some have been faked, but the genuine article is indeed rare overall.Would it be considered rare
Yes I was looking way out in the country on a dirt road and found in pilled up In a muddy rock pile also found alot of fossil fragments in the same spotVery cool find. A little background about it please?
Personal findYes it would definitely be considered rare. There are quite a few examples of these, and some have been faked, but the genuine article is indeed rare overall.
Also, when we say great white, this is different from the modern great white. This is a prehistoric great white that is millions of years old that evolved in the period, in which the modern great white transitioned from megalodon, hastalis (prehistoric mako), etc.
Was this a personal find or a purchase?
So your saying to your knowledge it's authenticPersonal find
