I really "stuck my neck out" and bought a pretty big lot of silver quarters of Craigslist today. Spent $1800. Plan to sell to Provident tomorrow $2287.34 as of 11:48pm 11/6/12. I'm pretty happy about either a $450 profit (after shipping + insurance) or taking 15.55 oz of silver quarters as profit. Thanks for allowing me to share. This is the largest purchase I've made to date. - Jonathan

And despite logic, people assume that any other person would NOT spend more money? Or that there was actually enough to cut to make up for the deficit? Or reducing govt spending in a poor economy might have similarly bad effects?

Sigh, a lot of doom and gloom and finger pointing.

I wasn't implying that any candidate wouldn't spend more money, but the basis of a conservative government is to reduce its size and spending.

Oh, not pointing fingers at you. I'm just venting, because of all the explicit prods at the President that are accepted.

BUT, gov't spending under the last several conservative presidents was what got America in the situation it's in, so that's not exactly accurate. It's the widely held belief (and the whole point of fiscal conservatism), but in reality, not accurate.

So if people are going to drag politics into this, at least make some sound judgments on the state of the economy.

It makes their job easier if you report the offending messages. See that triangle with an exclamation point? Click it and then type out why you think they need to act on it.

Would a Mod please put an end to these political posts? We are supposed to be talking about hunting through coins, not who is in office.

My complaint is that the snide off comments are getting through. Someone's got to say enough and either regulate or set the facts straight.

Tough to talk about precious metal prices (or stock prices or housing prices, etc) and NOT cross into politics. Most investments move off phycology and perceptions among a million different other variables. If investors think an election will impact the future value of an investment than it will become a reality (regardless of whether it should fundamentally move it or not). Best luck to all out there and congrats on the quick flip. Never complain when you can make dome fast cash!!
