Great CW Hunt today and Silver

Hello TNetter's.

My post will actually be adding to sekypaleo's recent post. It's always great to get out and save Civil War relics and it's even better when you get a few surprises. Bill and I had a productive day today, it was worth getting up that early... As Bill mentioned in his post, I did get another first today, my first Barber Quarter. I gotta say, I really love diggin' coins. The quarter is in pretty good shape, the "Liberty" has worn off the brow but I'm still very pleased with the find. The quarter is dated 1893. I also found my second Indian Head penny dated 1886. Also, I almost forgot... I also got a second first today, my first .69 cal. round ball. Needless to say, very happy about that as well!

Greg, you had a great day my friend. It's awesome that your first 4 coin finds ever are 2 IH's, a Barber Quarter and a Seated half-dime. Yes, post-CW coin finds are a pleasant surprise! I got another 45 minutes in after you left...found only a brass heart pendant (post- CW) . I think 2012 it gonna rock! What an addiction.

Awesome finds....I am excited about trying to find somewhere to use my DFX I got it a few years ago, but have been deployed haven't got the use out of it, hoping to hook up with folks in Maryland and go on some hunts!

This site seems to be pretty good for coins. I've found 3 of my 4 coins at this site. You can't get too excited about the coin signals though because you also find lots of modern clad. But, I think Bill and I will be going back soon for sure.
